Matthew was saved at age ten. He has a growing faith and desire to serve the Lord. When last summer’s ministry ended, he volunteered to help teach three Good News Clubs. He also had perfect attendance to our Teacher Training Class, which met twice a month. In one of the Good News Clubs, Matthew saw a boy that recognized him from a 5-Day Club. The boy shared how he was still doing what he learned at club. This contact showed Matthew the lasting effect God’s Word has on the children. It can change their lives! Matthew shares, “We need to help these children by teaching them the saving power of Jesus!” Matthew plans to attend college in the fall to major in architectural drafting. |

MISSION STATEMENT |

Dependability describes Deborah’s service for the Lord. Whether she is teaching a Bible lesson, counseling a child, or organizing a camp surprise time, we can count on her to do it well. When teaching a challenging club last year, Deborah saw God work in a mighty way. A little girl received the Lord. “She was so excited about her new found faith. Everyday she told us what God was teaching her in His Word. It was remarkable to see the transformation in this girl. It was almost as if before hearing the Gospel message she thought of God as ugly or as a Person with whom she did not want a relationship. But the Holy Spirit clearly worked in her heart and everything changed. God was now beautiful to her. He was someone who loved her and gave His Son for her. This is why I continue to come back to CEF. There is nothing better than seeing God at work in the lives of these precious children.” This fall, Deborah will be a junior at Lancaster Bible College where she is majoring in elementary education. |

SUMMER MISSIONARIES |
|
Kassandra received Christ as her Saviour when she was nine years old. As a teenager, she has been actively involved in her church’s youth group—serving on the ministry team for five years, attending two Life Conferences, and serving at a work camp. Last February, she went on a mission trip to Jamaica, which strengthened her personal walk with the Lord. The enthusiasm with which Kassandra serves the Lord will certainly be a blessing to us this summer. We look forward to her joining our team. Kassandra graduates from high school this June. She is making plans to attend college and major in elementary education. |

DEVIN DREESE |

Devin has grown up attending Good News Club and Camp Good News. First, she was a clubber and a camper, then a helper and a counselor, and now a summer missionary. Devin recalls receiving Christ as her Saviour at age four. Several years later, she affirmed that decision at camp. It was also at Camp Good News that Devin chose to live her life in a way to make a difference for the Lord. This year, Devin volunteered in a Good News Club. The clubbers listened eagerly to the continued story which she told. As Devin watched the children work on memorizing their Bible verses and New Testament books, she was glad for the decisions she made at camp. This fall, Devin will be a freshman at Penn State where she will major in dental hygienistry. |
