Words Worth Sharing

One never knows what words a child will utter when he responds to the invitation in a 5-Day Club. After asking him the question, “Why did you come back to talk to me today?” answers can range from his wanting you to know about the latest member of his family to telling you about the booboo that he got that morning. However, at times when you often least expect it, a child comes back who is clearly convicted and ready to receive Christ as Savior. This is exactly what happened during a counseling situation for a club that was held at the Sunbury Salvation Army. When I asked one of the boys why he came back to speak with me, he said, “I try so hard to be good, but it doesn’t work. I always do bad things." What a blessing and privilege it was to be able to clearly explain that Jesus was the only One to forgive those bad things and be his helper.

2011 Summer Summary

This summer, our team of summer missionaries, along with the teams from Summer Missionary Training School reached 562 children in 43 5-Day Clubs and 4 Vacation Bible Schools. They reported 47 children made a profession of faith in Christ. In addition to this, our summer missionaries took leadership positions at Camp Good News where an additional 217 children were reached, with 32 of them making professions of faith and 45 of them making consecration decisions.

We are a faith based organization, depending on churches and individuals to supply all of our financial needs.
